The Cavernous Hemangioma Involving the Mesentery of the Small Bowel

Abstract
The cavernous hemangiomas involving the intrabdominal organs are rare, regarding the absolute frequency and sugical indication, except those involiving the liver. They persist if untreated, but possess a limited growth potential, simulating
hamartoma.
They are most common during chidhood and more freq uently encountered in women. We recently experienced a case of cavernous hemangioma, which involved the mesentery of small bowel and shwed persisting growth leading to requiring surgical
intervention,
and report it.
